Mexico: The Indian Huichol bead-dazzled Volkswagen Beetle


People consider a 1990s Volkswagen Beetle, named "vochol" at an exhibition on the culture of Huichol Museum in Puebla, near Mexico City August 10, 2011. The name "vochol", has designed a combination of "vocho", a popular term for Volkswagen beetles to the Mexico and "huichol", a Mexican indigenous group. The car was decorated by Aboriginal artisans living in the States of Nayarit Huichol community and Jalisco, traditional fabric and beads. According to local media, the work will be put up for auction after its exhibition in Paris and Berlin next year, with funds and profits for the Huicholes.
