Statement by BART on killing of wireless stations on 11 August, in anticipation of civil unrest

Finally, here is explanation sorry Bart why they stop services wireless in the Bay area stations on August 11,.

BART temporarily interrupted select service stations BART as one of many tactics to ensure the safety of everyone on the platform.

Cell phone service was interrupted not outside the BART stations. In addition, many BART Police officers and other staff of BART with radio was present at the event provided, and train intercom systems and white courtesy phones are available for customers seeking assistance or to report any suspicious activity.

Good thing, Bay Area subway system managers take a benchmark of Hosni Mubarak! Because, you know, if a real riot had occurred, it is not as anyone affected would have no need to contact for help or anything.

"Personal BART or contractors close power nodes and alerted the cell carriers."
James Allison, Deputy Chief of BART said CNET communications officer.

Elinor Mills of CNET reports that "the original statement of BART said Metro had asked wireless telecommunications to suspend the service in the stations, but Allison said more later BART himself pulled the plug and notified suppliers after the fact."

Said cellular service BART did not disrupt outside stations: the evidence, please?

Update: coverage in the Washington Post and Al jazeera, MSC. Christopher Soghoian and Jacob Appelbaum security researchers filed a request to the FOIA (PDF link). Those so inspired can file a complaint with the FCC (PDF link). Here's an EFF post on the subject.
